Timber Insight Event: Supply Timber Systems

Last week, OFFSITE’s Group Chief Strategy & Operating Officer, Clarinda Ho, joined a panel discussion at the Timber Insight event in Bentley, “Supplying Timber Systems”.

It was a great initial discussion on the changing roles for the construction workforce of the future, and how the increased adoption of industrialised timber prefabrication and systems could help with the housing shortage.

A highlight was how we, as an industry, could capture the attention of the next generation. In a tight labour market, construction is in direct competition with mining and defence. By shifting building into a tech-driven, factory-controlled environment, we can offer young workers a safe, high-tech, and innovative career path that stands out as a preferred choice.
